A Message From Our Leadership

Welcome to Penn Radiology! We are excited that you are interested in learning more about our program.

The Department of Radiology at Penn Medicine provides a truly unique environment where residents are exposed to a wide breadth of complex pathology and state of the art technology, in a warm, nurturing learning environment. Our residents work alongside (and often on a first name basis with) the world’s leaders in diagnostic and interventional radiology.

It’s a given that we train clinically outstanding diagnostic and interventional radiologists; but no matter what your interest - be it research, teaching, private practice, business, quality & safety- it's our mission to provide you with the best possible foundation to pursue your future goals and become a leader in that field. We know that to achieve this you need strong mentors, high volume clinical training, and the flexibility to mold your education to fit your interests and that’s what we deliver.

Educational cornerstones of our program include:

  1. Conferences & Call
  2. 4th year structure
  3. Special tracks

Penn Radiology’s extensive alumni network (we call them our Penn Family) is an invaluable resource to our residents during their training and in their future careers. We have alumni all over the country, working in a wide range of academic and private practice settings, who are eager to guide our residents as they shape their careers. The continued engagement of our alumni is a testament to the strength of the Penn Radiology community and the warm, supportive culture of our program.
