At Penn, we are proud to have one of the top Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy training programs. Our trainees go through rigorous and demanding training in the complete spectrum of vascular disease.  Graduates from our program are able to perform a wide variety of complex open and endovascular procedures, including complex abdominal aortic, mesenteric, and thoracoabdominal aortic surgery, state of the art carotid procedures, complex and advanced lower extremity arterial and venous interventions and excel in management of both common and rare vascular diseases. There is wonderful camaraderie and a sense of community amongst our trainees, and we are careful to preserve this in our program. The faculty are dedicated to the development and growth of our residents and fellows, and are excited to see them go on to be leaders in the field of vascular surgery. We will continue to maintain our excellent standards for patient care and surgical training. We are dedicated to being at the forefront of vascular and endovascular surgical education in the country.

Program Director, Vascular Surgery Fellowship
Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery

The Department of Surgery’s Vascular Surgery Fellowship provides opportunities for a traditional two-year training program. It is our mission to select talented and highly motivated individuals who are ready to pursue training in vascular surgery. We provide a high volume of clinical experience with associated conference and didactic instruction and exposure to research. We have designed our fellowship to provide a balanced experience of open and endovascular cases, inpatient and outpatient care and the exposure to and involvement with academics in vascular surgery. Our graduates are well trained to face clinical challenges and also pursue academic careers after they have finished the program.
