About Dr. Toyoda

Dr. Toyoda is a chief resident in the integrated plastic surgery program, interested in academic plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Research

Dr. Toyoda has worked in the translational research lab at Weill Cornell in which she studied the metabolic interaction between breast cancer cells and adipocytes in patient-specific, tissue engineered models through the HHMI fellowship, as well as wound healing using a collagen-based dermal replacement product in a mouse excisional wound model. She also studied the role of certain policies on influencing social disparities in plastic and reconstructive surgery which she plans on continuing through residency.
