About Dr. Rice
Dr. Jayne Raven Rice is a PGY4 in the integrated vascular surgery residency at University of Pennsylvania. Her academic interests include peripheral arterial disease, limb salvage, health disparities, and impostor syndrome among minority students/residents. She is developing her passion for patient health educational awareness and advocacy. Through her research she is becoming equipped to address inequities in vascular surgery and providing health equity to her vascular patients with the goal of limb salvage. She is a strong advocate and mentor for underrepresented minorities students and trainees in medicine as well. She plans to work in underserved communities bringing a dimension of preventive medicine to vascular surgery with her passion for limb salvage.
