Medical Student Opportunities
Summer Medical Student Fellowship – ("CECPR Summer Fellowship")
Offered to medical students with an interest in emergency care and health services research. The fellowship provides $2000 to support a student to work one on one with a CECPR faculty mentor to complete a 8-10 week summer research project.
Emergency Medicine Certificate Program for Perelman School of Medicine Students
(In development) The EM certificate program will encourage Penn medical students with an interest in emergency care and health services research to complete the CECPR summer research fellowship, 1-2 formal courses in research design, epidemiology, or health policy, and work with a CECPR faculty member through the completion of medical school with the goal of presenting one or more scholarly abstracts at the annual SAEM meeting and submitting a first authored manuscript to a peer reviewed journal.
