The Division of Family Planning provides compassionate care for women and couples seeking family planning services and management of early pregnancy complications (miscarriage). Our program was established to integrate family planning training and research for obstetrics and gynecology residents while compassionately providing excellent medical care to our patients.

PEACE Logo At PEACE, we provide the full range of family planning services to a diverse patient population in a nonjudgmental, caring and supportive environment. We provide education, access to contraception, and counseling to prevent unplanned pregnancies.

We work in conjunction with the Divisions of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Genetics in the management of pregnancies with diagnosed fetal anomalies, second-trimester pregnancy complications, and serious maternal conditions. We provide a range of options for the management of pregnancy loss or miscarriage. Medical student and resident education, patient care, and clinical research are the integral components of our program.

Program Goal

Opportunities for Giving

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Pregnancy Early Access Center (PEACE) at Penn Medicine. There are 2 ways you can support the work of the PEACE team:

In light of the recent Supreme Court decision, the PEACE team has created a Patient Support Fund to offset out-of-pocket costs for patients of limited financial means to obtain abortion care at Penn. Penn Medicine is the local referral center for medically complex abortion care, and we are already seeing many patients coming to Penn from other states.

Give to the PEACE Patient Support Fund today to support abortion care for those who most need it and can least afford it:
