The program is open to surgical residents who have completed a general surgery residency and are board certified or eligible. Applicants from outside of the United States must have current certification by the Educational Committee for Foreign Medical Graduates to be eligible for licensure in the State of Pennsylvania. The breast training program offered at Penn is a one-year multidisciplinary fellowship. The program will accept one fellow per year. The program sponsors J1 visas only.
