About Dr. Roberts

Sanford Roberts is a chief resident in general surgery. He graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology in 2013. He then received his medical degree in 2018 and Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology in 2023 from the University of Pennsylvania. His research interests include racial health disparities and improving the diversity of the surgical workforce. He is a co-founder of the Physician Track program, a high school pipeline program aimed at helping Black high school students achieve careers in medicine. He plans to pursue a career as an academic vascular surgeon.
