About Dr. Tidwell

Dr. Tidwell is a PGY3 categorical resident in general surgery. She is a graduate of San Diego State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology followed by clinical research on experimental therapeutics and cancer immunologic therapies at the University of California, San Diego. She earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where she served in various leadership roles in the Gold Humanism Honor Society. While working toward her medical degree, she was involved in surgical oncology research and medical education research at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Tidwell plans to pursue a career in academic medicine with clinical interests in Surgical Oncology and research interests in cancer genetics, medical education, and increasing the presence of underrepresented minorities in the field of surgery.
