Research
In both clinical and research interests, Eliana has been drawn to caring for patients with cancer and working towards optimizing diagnostic and management protocols to improve survival. Her research interests lie at the intersection of computer science, data science, and surgery: using data-informed approaches to augment perioperative surgical decision making and tailoring surgical cancer care to the individual. Her thesis in medical school, “Systematic Quantification of Morphological Patterns in Surgical Specimens of Cancers,” was awarded Honors in a Special Field (magna cum laude).
