About Dr. Seidel

Henry is a General Surgery resident at the University of Pennsylvania. He grew up in New Hampshire. He completed his undergraduate education at Tufts University and received his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. As a medical student he co-directed a student affiliated pediatric free clinic on the South Side of Chicago. Henry plans to pursue a career in academic surgery, and his clinical interests include trauma, surgical oncology, and vascular surgery.

Research

Henry’s interest in research began during his undergraduate years working in an inorganic chemistry research lab. In medical school, he conducted surgical outcomes clinical research, initially in orthopedics before his clinical and research interests shifted to general surgery. Additional research interests of his include surgical education and the equitable care for patients with limited English proficiency.
