About Dr. Grasty

Dr. Grasty earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, Health and Society from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Grasty then earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. She is interested in pursuing a career in academic cardiac surgery and plans to be involved with research within the field. She is also interested in exploring methods for addressing racial and socioeconomic health disparities to improve healthcare outcomes for historically disadvantaged groups and improving access to care for all, especially those within Philadelphia. In the past she has been involved in research examining long-term outcomes of children who underwent cardiac surgery.
