The University of Pennsylvania Urology Residency Program participates in the American Urologic Association (AUA) Match Process. Ordinarily applicants apply in the late summer/early fall of their 4th year of medical school through ERAS. Application deadline is October 1, 2024. Qualified applicants are invited for an interview on one of the two interview dates, Wednesday, December 11, 2024 or Thursday, December 19, 2024.

Penn Urology has two residency tracks. We select three incoming residents for the 5-year urology program (AUA 00923387) and one resident for the 6-year research program (AUA 01022313).

Clinical Rotation at Penn Urology

We welcome and encourage anyone with special interest in the program, and for whom it is feasible, to take a clinical elective of any duration some time in the summer, fall or winter. This will enable you to better evaluate our program and permit a better evaluation of you by our staff. If you are a student, follow this link for application procedures and materials. If you encounter difficulty in arranging a rotation, please do not hesitate to contact the department.
