Course Information

The Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS) Course is from the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). Curriculum introduces important principles in the initial care of critically ill/injured patients to physicians, physicians-in-training, nurses, and other healthcare providers who may or may not be skilled in critical care but who must care for such patients during early stabilization and in anticipation of the arrival of an intensivist, specialist or pending transfer of the patient to a tertiary center.

FCCS curriculum is presented as a two-day comprehensive series of integrated lectures and skill stations. The course provides critical care knowledge, guidance for decision-making, and practice in clinical procedures by addressing fundamental management of critical care patients in the first 24 hours of care

Physicians, physicians-in-training (residents and fellows), advanced practice providers, nurses.
