Pennsylvania Hospital offers a series of lectures, endowed by colleagues and friends of the department, that bring physicians to present diagnostic and interventional radiology topics, such as leadership and innovation, artificial intelligence, and global health. The lectureship program also allows residents to meet with and learn directly from both graduates of the residency program and luminaries in medicine.
The L. Murray Houser, II, M.D. Lectureship
The L. Murray Houser, II, M.D. Lectureship invites a nationally recognized woman leader in radiology to present two lectures at Pennsylvania Hospital – a diagnostic radiology topic for the residents and a topic of her choice to the hospital community. Friends and colleagues of Dr. Houser established this annual lectureship in 1989 in his memory because of his commitment to education. Dr. Houser received his medical degree and radiology training at the University of Pennsylvania. From 1962 until his death in 1984, he practiced radiology at Pennsylvania Hospital.
