One of the core tenets of the Agnew Surgery Society is mentorship in the field of academic surgery. A major part of this mentorship is the fostering of research interests and teaching of sound scientific ideology. Agnew Surgery Society members frequently work with mentors in the Surgery Department to design and run investigative research projects during their time in medical school. These projects range from basic science bench research to projects in global surgery. Many of these students go on to present at national conferences and have their work published in peer-reviewed journals. Below you will find databases of past surgical research projects by former Agnew Summer Fellows and other Perelman School of Medicine students.
