More about Dr. Duffy
Kevin Duffy, MD began his career in medicine as a volunteer EMT and then paramedic in the Pittsburgh region. He attended the University of Pittsburgh where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in emergency medicine as well as minors in chemistry and neuroscience before completing medical school at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Duffy subsequently attended UPMC for residency, where he served as the residency EMS cochair. During his residency, Dr. Duffy served as a prehospital physician with both the City of Pittsburgh EMS and STAT MedEvac and was also the assistant medical director for Fayette EMS. As part of his role as a prehospital physician, Dr. Duffy provided medical coverage at University of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Steelers football games, in addition to numerous concerts and other events.
Outside of EMS, Dr. Duffy is an advocate for mental health, and developed an asynchronous educational curriculum for emergency medicine residents focused on psychiatric emergency management. In his free time, Dr. Duffy enjoys sports, traveling, and going on adventures with his wife, Caitlin, and dog, Dakota.
