Crawford Mechem, MD, is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. For the past 24 years he has served as the EMS Medical Director for the Philadelphia Fire Department as well as the Philadelphia Regional EMS Medical Director. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, subspecialty boarded in Emergency Medical Services, and is a Fellow of the Academy of Emergency Medical Services.
